EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's Degree.
- Multiple years of relevant, student support experience.
- Knowledge of SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System)
- Ability to manager sensitive and challenging issues and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and empathetic communication with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
- Hold a deep understanding and appreciation of a multicultural student population.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to assist students in resolving academic and personal challenges by connecting them with appropriate resources and support services.
Pay: Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan with company match. The hourly pay range for this position is $23.32 to $31.54.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: - Serve as campus Designated School Official (DSO) responsible for supporting Atlanta campus perspective, active and graduate international student population and ensure that required documentation is appropriately maintained and reported.
- Use of Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) to maintain accurate student records and compliance with immigration regulations.
- Responsible for staying current with regulatory and legislative rules, regulations and updates affecting international students on F-1 visas.
- Advise students with petitions, applications, and other standard issues related to the F-1 visa status. This may include new visas, work permits, reinstatement, change of status, medical leaves, employment, and/or reduced course load authorizations.
- Assist students applying for Optional Practical Training (OPT) and STEM Optional Practical Training and required updates and maintenance in SEVIS.
- Coordinate with Career Development and program departments for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) authorizations for international students.
- Coordinate and conduct International Student onboarding seminar with cultural experiences, educational workshops, APA and academic dishonesty workshops and other informative experiences.
- Advise students on academic issues, including program and course offerings, having out of classroom issues that are impacting academic success, discuss options and pros/cons of options to assist students with decision-making. Work in collaboration with faculty/staff/administration to assist students who are experiencing personal or academic concerns to find appropriate solutions.
- Organize and coordinate student focused events.
- Complete and maintain student scheduling and course revisions per University standards and provide guidance to students on scheduling changes.
- Communicate with new incoming students through welcome calls to discuss schedule and potential obstacles.
- Prepare materials for and conduct new student orientations on how to access & navigate University platforms and bookstore validation. Coordinate and conduct International Student orientation and maintain presentations for the session.
