Job Title: General Labor – Light Chemical Manufacturing
Location: Seaford, DE 19973
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Duration: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious General Laborer to join a production team in a light chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of warehouse and production tasks, supporting operations through equipment handling, product movement, quality checks, and general labor duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations

• Wear and maintain proper PPE for each task

• Load/unload materials manually or using mechanical equipment

• Transfer raw materials and finished products using hand trucks

• Deliver production items to designated areas and support next-stage processing

• Pack and stack finished products according to safety and quality standards

• Monitor product quality and report any issues to supervisors

• Cross-train and rotate across different production line positions

• Keep work area clean, organized, and hazard-free

• Perform basic maintenance such as greasing and cleaning production equipment

• Meet safety and production targets as directed

• Participate in safety meetings and audits

• Perform additional general labor duties as needed

Experience and Skills Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Strong attention to detail

• Forklift experience is a plus

• Ability to multitask and monitor multiple processes

• Experience with SOPs, chemical handling, or light manufacturing is preferred

• Basic math skills for measurements and documentation

• Positive team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn

• Understanding of safety regulations, including lockout/tagout and hazard communication

• Ability to complete training and demonstrate safety knowledge

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision required

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including climbing, reaching, kneeling, and lifting up to 70 lbs

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in varying temperatures and plant environments

• Must be comfortable working in a hands-on, industrial setting
