Were seeking a Part-Time Curriculum & Instructional Design Specialist to support curriculum development projects. Its a great fit for educators, instructional designers, or content developers who thrive in collaborative, mission-driven environments and seek to make a meaningful impact through education.Join our team and help empower students on their educational journey!Key Responsibilities Design and develop inclusive, standards-aligned curricula for various educational contexts (e.g., K12 classrooms, workshops, training modules). Create lesson plans, assessments, instructional guides, and supporting materials using different approaches including project-based learning, inquiry, small group instruction, among others. Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and relevance. Conduct curriculum evaluations and integrate feedback for continuous improvement. Align content with pedagogical frameworks and best practices. Stay current on trends in instructional design and educational technology. Develop educational resources including online courses, tutorials, curriculum materials, presentations, and program reports. Design and lead curriculum workshops and trainings for educators and community members as needed. Provide on-site coaching as needed to support curriculum implementation. Communicate with clients, learners, and program participants to provide information and support. Assist with developing content for social media, newsletters, and marketing related to educational services and events. Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth program operations. Conduct on-site visits to local schools as needed.Qualifications & SkillsRequired Bachelors degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in curriculum development or instructional design, and teaching. Strong understanding of pedagogy, learning theory, assessment strategies, and learning standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with digital tools (e.g., Google Workspace, LMS platforms like Moodle, authoring tools such as Canva). Experience with online and hybrid learning models. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and culturally responsive teaching practices. Some local and domestic travel is possible. A background check is required.Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in a related field. Experience developing curriculum for K12, higher education, adult learners, or corporate training, including workshops and coaching. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Public speaking experience.
