Join to apply for the Weekend Morning Counselor, New Chardon role at Pine Street Inn 2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Description Schedule: 16 hours, Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Pay: $21.40 per hour Location: 41 New Chardon Street, Boston, MA Summary of Position The Weekend Residential Counselor provides awake overnight coverage, conducting regular rounds, assisting tenants, conducting wellness checks, observing tenant rights, overseeing occupancy agreements and house rules, setting limits, and providing crisis intervention. Responsibilities include noting maintenance issues, resolving minor problems, and escalating concerns. The role may require occasional daytime availability for training and meetings. The goal is to help tenants achieve the highest quality of life as part of a supportive team. Requirements Education/Training High School diploma or GED Basic human services trainings (Required) Advanced training in human services, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care (Preferred) Knowledge/Experience At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with complex disabilities in shelter, community residence, or inpatient settings Experience maintaining a safe environment Experience as part of a human services team Familiarity with rehabilitation and consumer empowerment concepts Experience working with dually diagnosed individuals and assisting with ADL skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience Experience with Housing First/Stabilization models Experience working with homeless populations Additional Details Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Part-time Job function: Other Industry: Non-profit Organizations #J-18808-Ljbffr Pine Street Inn
