Job Description

We are seeking a Telecommunications Specialist for one of our clients. The resource will be responsible for implementing or collaborating with existing staff, particularly to ensure the stability, performance, and smooth operation of the supported technological infrastructures. Primarily, but not limited to, CISCO telecommunications equipment (switches and routers), Checkpoint (firewall and web filtering solution), Aruba (Wi-Fi access service), and AWS (security groups).

Main Activities

• Ensure the stability, performance, and smooth operation of the supported technological infrastructures, primarily telecommunications equipment, firewalls, web filtering solutions, Wi-Fi access services, VPN services, remote monitoring services, and virtualization platforms;
• Manage incidents and problems affecting the various components to ensure rapid service recovery;
• Participate in the development and execution of work related to the transfer of application assets to the cloud;
• Contribute to architectural studies, projects, and the execution of service requests.

Required Requirements and Qualifications

• Possess three (3) years of experience in the maintenance and development of telecommunications equipment (Cisco, Aruba, Checkpoint);
• Have completed one (1) mandate or project requiring knowledge of server environments based on Linux operating systems and open source software;
• Have completed one (1) mandate or project requiring knowledge of an AWS cloud environment;
• Be available to come to the Quebec office during opening hours (between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.) for interventions requiring on-site assistance (the resource must be located in the Quebec region).

• Hold an undergraduate university degree in a discipline deemed appropriate to the duties of the position or an equivalent, namely:
• A university certificate relevant to the field of the required university degree and forty-eight (48) months of relevant experience in information technology, with each missing year of education being compensated by twelve (12) months of experience relevant to the required degree;
• A college diploma (DEC) relevant to the field of the required university degree and seventy-two (72) months of relevant experience in information technology, with each missing year of education being compensated by twenty-four (24) months of experience relevant to the required diploma.

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) spécialiste en télécommunication pour un de nos clients. La ressource devra réaliser ou collaborer avec du personnel en place, notamment pour assurer la stabilité, la performance et l’exploitation harmonieuse des infrastructures technologiques supportées. Principalement et sans s’y limiter, les équipements de télécommunications CISCO (commutateurs et routeurs), Checkpoint (pare-feu et solution de filtrage Web), Aruba (service d’accès Wi-Fi) et AWS (groupes de sécurité).

Principales activités

• Assurer la stabilité, la performance et l’exploitation harmonieuse des infrastructures technologiques supportées, principalement les équipements de télécommunications, pare-feu, solution de filtrages Web, service d’accès Wi-Fi, service VPN, service de télésurveillance et plateforme de virtualisation ;
• Prendre en charge les incidents et les problèmes qui affectent les différentes composantes afin de permettre un retour rapide des services ;
• Participer à l’élaboration et à l’exécution des travaux portant sur le transfert des actifs applicatifs en mode infonuagique ;
• Contribuer aux études d’architectures, aux projets et à la réalisation des demandes de services.

Exigences et qualifications requises

• Posséder trois (3) années d’expérience dans le maintien et l’évolution d’équipements de télécommunications (Cisco, Aruba, Checkpoint) ;
• Avoir réalisé un (1) mandat ou projet nécessitant les connaissances des environnements serveur basés sur des systèmes d’exploitation Linux et de logiciels du domaine libre ;
• Avoir réalisé un (1) mandat ou projet nécessitant des connaissances d’un environnement infonuagique AWS ;
• Être disponible pour se présenter au bureau de Québec pendant les heures d’ouverture (entre 8 h 30 et 16 h 30) lors d’intervention nécessitant d’être sur place (la ressource devra être localisée dans la région de Québec).

• Détenir un diplôme universitaire de premier cycle dans une discipline jugée appropriée aux attributions du poste ou une équivalence, soit :
• Un certificat universitaire pertinent au domaine du diplôme universitaire exigé et quarante-huit (48) mois d’expérience pertinente en technologies de l’information, chaque année de scolarité manquante étant compensée par douze (12) mois d’expérience pertinente au diplôme exigé ;
• Un diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) pertinent au domaine du diplôme universitaire exigé et soixante-douze (72) mois d’expérience pertinente en technologies de l’information, chaque année de scolarité manquante étant compensée par vingt-quatre (24) mois d’expérience pertinente au diplôme exigé.
