Job Title: Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Location: San Diego, CA

Job Summary

We seek a skilled and experienced Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our San Diego-based team. If you're passionate about solving complex HVAC issues, delivering top-tier service, and mentoring others, this is your role. You'll work hands-on with various commercial and industrial HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance while supporting clients and junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including RTUs, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and cooling towers.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure energy-efficient, reliable system performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components such as compressors, motors, wiring, sensors, and controls.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to clients in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
• Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
• Mentor and guide junior technicians, offering support and on-the-job training to help build team expertise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial/industrial HVAC service and repair.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience with large-scale systems (e.g., chillers, boilers, multi-zone systems) is highly preferred.

Work Environment

Based in San Diego, CA, with travel to commercial and industrial client sites throughout the region. Work performed in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
