We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This is a hybrid position based in Chicago, with three in-office days per week. The ideal candidate is someone who brings strong accounting fundamentals, a collaborative mindset, and a desire to contribute to the continued financial health and growth of the organization.

Job Details

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Work closely with leadership to support financial decision-making
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors during audits
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and system upgrades

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment
