Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a QA Manager at Shield Pressure Control located in Midland, TX. This position will be responsible for overseeing the quality control processes, conducting quality audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing quality improvement initiatives on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Ensure compliance with API and ISO 9001 standards, covering both product quality and quality system requirements to maintain certification.
• Manage and maintain all quality and maintenance documentation and records.
• Verify that products meet organizational, customer, and international quality and integrity standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance procedures and documentation for ADS equipment.
• Review design plans, IOM manuals, procedures, and quality documents to ensure alignment with product requirements and functionality.
• Design and implement inspection and testing methods to evaluate product reliability and manufacturing processes; analyze data to identify and address quality trends and defects.
• Support operations and product development teams with inspection analysis and quality expertise.
• Manage nonconforming equipment, identify root causes, and recommend or implement corrective actions.
• Develop and enforce procedures to improve product quality and production timelines.
• Ensure availability and calibration of all equipment used in ADS production.
• Practice and promote safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations.
• Plan, conduct, and report internal quality audits in line with the annual audit schedule.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Education, Training, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, with 8–10 years of relevant experience as a Quality Manager and/or Auditor.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Quality Management Systems in compliance with API Q1, API Q2, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
• Familiarity with API 6A products (preferred)
• Experience in oilfield products and services (preferred)
• Proficiency with measuring/testing equipment and dimensional inspection techniques (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Understanding of API and ISO product requirements, as well as AWS, ASME, and ANSI standards/specifications
• Experience conducting corrective actions and field complaint investigations
• Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills, with highly advanced language, mathematical, and reasoning abilities
• Proven coaching and teaching capabilities at an advanced level
