A growing law firm focused on Indigenous rights is seeking a skilled Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join their passionate team. This firm advocates for Tribal governments, businesses, and citizens, providing vital legal support in areas such as Treaty rights, sovereignty, land rights, cultural property protection, personal injury, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal assistance and support to attorneys specializing in Tribal, Indigenous, and civil rights litigation.
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents with high attention to detail.
Assist in legal research and case preparation.
Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
Support the legal team with various tasks in the litigation process, including drafting correspondence and preparing exhibits.
Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably with a focus on Indigenous or civil rights law.
Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
Excellent proofreading, formatting, and organizational skills.
A deep commitment to supporting the mission of protecting Tribal and Indigenous rights.
Must be located in Washington State.
