The Portfolio Management Group (PMG) at BlackRock is a dynamic and ambitious investment team that includes active portfolio managers specializing in equities, fixed income, and Multi-Asset strategies. Our reach spans both public and private markets, offering an outstanding opportunity to engage with diverse investment capabilities. Why is your role important? We are looking for a Vice President or Director in Miami to drive the expansion of our Active business in the Offshore Wealth segment. Your role will be crucial in guiding the strategic direction, encouraging innovation, and commercializing BlackRock's Active platform. By aligning product strategies with client needs and market trends, you will unlock new growth opportunities and contribute to our success in this important segment, even if you have equivalent experience rather than "SMAs". The Wealth segment makes up around 60% of BlackRock's assets under management and revenue in Latin America. It has seen strong growth because of trends like easier entry, offshoring, and the emergence of exciting digital companies. We are looking for someone who is curious, empathetic, passionate, and always eager to learn and challenge conventional thinking. Your responsibilities Support sales in the Offshore Wealth segment at BlackRock's Active business by providing investment insights and data, and addressing client and sales requests. Collaborate with multiple investment and distribution teams. Be exceptionally creative and spearhead the future product line-up and innovation for our business. Strategically segment and curate BlackRock's active platform to meet the needs of different client segments. Craft and develop presentations and materials in various formats to effectively communicate our value propositions. Convert Portfolio Management views and research into clear, compelling documents. Conduct analytical and reporting tasks to assist sales and investment teams, including crafting presentations, one-pagers, fact sheets, and content for RFPs. Own periodic knowledge transfer with current and future Latin American clients through client calls, webinars, in-person visits, market commentaries, podcasts, and research papers. Strong technical skills are required, with a background in macroeconomics, capital markets, equity or fixed income research, statistics, econometrics, or other technical fields being highly desirable. Exhibit an in-depth comprehension of financial markets and the factors influencing valuation and returns on major asset classes. Collaborate with LatAm distribution partners to craft and drive an extensive client investment education program. What are we looking for? A BA/BS degree is required. CFA / CAIA / CFP, or progress towards these certifications, is preferred. A minimum of 8 years of experience in an asset management or financial management company in an analytical or sales position. Proficiency in Spanish is required; Portuguese language skills are a plus. Familiarity with Bloomberg is advantageous. Outstanding attention to detail and process; highly professional, organized, and committed to excellence. Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple objectives simultaneously under tight deadlines. Strong research and writing skills to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas, and processes. Ability to support PMG client relationship management and capital raising activities creatively and proactively in LatAm. For MI4 - Miami - 701 Brickell Ave, Suite 1250 Only the salary range for this position is USD$184,000.00 - USD$250,000.00. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
