Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Coordinator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods and ensuring efficient transportation processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to negotiate effectively, and a solid understanding of warehouse management and inventory control. The Freight Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations within our distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
• Negotiate contracts with carriers and suppliers to secure the best pricing and service levels.
• Analyze shipping data to optimize transportation planning and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate inventory control by tracking stock levels and coordinating replenishment efforts.
• Collaborate with warehouse management to ensure proper handling of goods throughout the shipping process.
• Monitor freight costs and work towards minimizing expenses while maintaining service quality.
• Serve as a point of contact for all freight-related inquiries, providing exceptional customer service to internal teams and external partners.

Experience

• Proven experience in freight coordination or logistics management is preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and carriers.
• Experience in transportation planning within a distribution center environment is highly desirable.
• Proficient in analyzing data related to shipping costs, inventory levels, and transportation efficiency.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control practices is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
